Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Sophie is a walking catalog of songs and rhymes. Her latest trick involves substituting her own words in songs.
She has been singing Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? I see a leopard looking at me, etc.
Last night, she was on our bed, chanting her own rendition of this and we heard, "Mommy's Bed, Mommy's Bed, what do you see? I see some drawers looking at me. Drawers, drawers what do you see? I see the wah-alls lookin at me" etc, etc.

Quincy

Sophie looked out the window today, and saw Daddy's car parked on the street. She said, "That is Quincy's car." If you watched Little Einsteins, you would know who Quincy is.

When I talk to the baby, I do "ventriloquism" to pretend like Vivian is talking back to me. Sophie loves it and likes to do it too. So when I ask something like, "Are you hungry, baby?" Sophie will say, "Yes, Mommy!" in a high-pitched "baby" voice. Then she says, "The baby is talking!"

She loves to play dolls with her Dora dolls and dollhouse. I have to be Chef Dora and she is Christmas Dora. It usually goes something like this:
Chef D: Hi Dora! Are you hungry?
Xmas D: Yes, I am.
Chef D: Would you like me to cook you something?
Xmas D: Yes, I would.
Chef D: Well, come with me to my kitchen.
Xmas D: OK.
(dolls hop along to the kitchen of the dollhouse)

Dance Class

Sophie is loving her dance class. This is only her 3rd session, but it is amazing how far the girls have come in only 3 lessons. They follow along very nicely and really enjoy it. She is in dance with 2 of her little friends, Ellie and Winnie. The recital is on June 9.

We've also been taking "walks" in the afternoon, which are 2 miles. Sophie can jog a mile of it at least. She hops on/off the stroller when she wants to take a snack or water break, but besides that, she can jog mostly the whole way. We end up at the park near our house, from which she runs home afterward. She says she wants to do a race, so perhaps we'll sign up for the April 1 Wildflower Race.
